The development of solar energy was made more than 100 years ago. At first Solar energy was used to produce steam. It happened after Edmond Becquerel discovered the “photovoltaic effect” which allows the conversion of sunlight to solar electric energy. His discovery then led to the invention in 1893 by another person Charles Fritts of the first genuine solar cell. The world’s first silicon solar cell was patented in 1941 by American inventor Russel. In space satellites, solar panels found their first mainstream. In 1970 For most people the first solar panel in their life was probably adorned in their new calculator. Today various kinds of applications are powered by solar panel systems.
